I see that I haven't posted for a couple of weeks, and if I want anyone to return to this site, I need to post more often.
As you know, in the address bar at the top of your browser, each address starts with http:// what you may not know, is that if you are going to put any personal information into a web page (ie. social security number, credit card information etc.) DO NOT post to a site that just starts with http:// Any site that you put personal information into needs to be a "secure site" and the address bar will start with "https://" ( of course with out the quotation marks)
HTTPS only protects data in transit from eavesdropping and man in the middle attacks. Once data arrive at their destination, they are only as safe as the computer they are on
