Our Sweet Corn started tasseling a couple of weeks ago, and it should be ready soon. I won't have any ready for the 4th (I never do, you would have to plant the 1st of April) but maybe by next weekend we can have some to sell. That will be about as early as I have ever had corn to sell. We will be a the regular place in Missouri Valley
It would be nice if it rained now, instead of when we are picking sweet corn every day.

An unofficial Google Maps blog tracking the websites, mashups and tools being influenced by Google Maps. It is interesting what they are doing with Google maps, and this site shows quite a bit of it. As you will learn, a Mashup is a combination of a Google Map and some data locations that are pinned on the map. For example the location of all of the Starbucks in a town and the address and phone number Picasa2 is a free picture editing and storing program from the folks at Google. You can download it from here, and it will look for any pictures on your computer and put them in date order. You can also edit and put a caption on each picture and put them in different albums if you choose. The other nice part of this program, is that they will give you 1 Gig of web space to post your pictures. That is thousands of pictures!!! You can buy more space if you need it and they are so easy to upload. You can have public albums and unlisted albums. If you want to share an unlisted album, you just copy and paste the URL and send it in an e-mail to the person that you want to shre it with. This is the ONLY way to share pictures! No more e-mailing 25 pictures at a time, just send the URL and let them download the ones that they want! I forgot to mention in the last post, that a big thanks goes out to Javay Case for all the work she did in organizing last weekend's events, and also big thanks to Dan & Jan Danielson for providing the Karaoke for down at the Willow. As you can see by the pictures, most of us took our turns, and I think that Ross Long has found his calling!! For those of you that were at the reunion last weekend, thanks for coming, and didn't we have FUN!!!!! For those of you that didn't or couldn't make it, our 40th is only 5 years away, and I hope all of you can make it, Even though we will be nearing 60 (that can't be correct) we can still have a GREAT time. Age is only a state of mind. As you can see by the pictures of this weekend's activities. If anyone else has pictures that they would like me to post here, just e-mail them to [email protected] This weekend is the Missouri Valley Alumni reunion weekend. Javay Case and I sent out the invitations and did the planning. We are only expecting about 27 classmates and spouses. That isn't very many, but we will have fun none the less. I will be posting some pictures here on Sunday. I have decided that if I want anyone to even check this site at all I have to talk about something other than what I did today. SO, this blog will be about computer tips and websites that I have found helpful and/or interesting. The first one came from my cousin Chris Bertelson (Bertelson family Microsoft Guru). If you are like me at work, you may have a dozen or more windows open on your computer screen, and you need to get to get to the desktop. The easy way to do that is to hold down on the Windows key, and hit the D key. That will instantly minimize all of your windows and leave you with just the desktop. We had a great time at the wedding and party after. Then the next day it was time to round up some picnic tables and head to Jack & Eloise's for thir annual picnic. Mom left yesterday for the Corner, and met Sis & Clyde there for the spring cleaning. Barb & I went to Brenden & Corrie's rehearsal supper last night at Jobbers Canyon, and had a great time. The company was great and the food and atmosphere was perfect. After we visited Leah's apt. The Wedding is tonight There is more rain in the forecast for Missouri Valley, only 3 weeks after the flooding in the park. Here at the CaseIH dealership, we got over and inch last night, but just got a couple of tenths in Mondamin |
